Praying ‘thy will be done’ cont.
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
Ever prayed ‘thy will be done,’ and wonder if you truly meant it? I have. Am I proud of it? No, just being honest. In acknowledging this I have come to find the need for 1 Chronicles 16:11. Praying ‘thy will be done,’ and meaning it requires seeking the Lord. It requires seeking Him for who He is, NOT for what we desire Him to do.
If you are struggling with this prayer today, I encourage you to take that struggle to the Lord in prayer. Praise Him for who He is. Praise Him for His excellency. Praise Him for His all knowing ability. Praise Him for His love in the midst of our inadequacies. Ask Him to help you to seek Him and His strength. Ask Him to help you to seek His face for who He is with a pure heart. Then thank Him for hearing your prayer. Thank Him for the answer before you even know what it is, and seal your prayer in the POWERFUL name of Jesus!
Remember- His ways are higher than ours!
Go in this day, and Choose Him.
