Prayerful Parenting – Day 14

PrayerfulParentingDay14

Back-to-School 2018 is nearly here (for some of you, maybe it’s already begun) and this prayerful sendoff is quickly wrapping up. With two days left we’ve got two power packed verses vital for our kids as we send them off to be the light God has called them to be.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

‘All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. ‘

ALL scripture is inspired by God…even the parts that don’t go along with the culture we live in as it has slowly chipped away at God’s truth thus changing the way we view His Holy word. God is very clear in Hebrew 13:8 when he said, ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever,’ which affirms wholeheartedly 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Sometimes our humanity doesn’t like the way God’s word feels as it presses against what our flesh desires, but God sitting higher with a much clearer vantage point knows what is best, and following His plan leads us to our home in Glory with Him. His word is provided the same as the discipline and guidance of a loving parent purposed to protect the child they love so much.

Let us pray over the minds of our students today using these words. May God seated on high lead them to stand firmly on HIS word as they consume it, their daily bread, in its entirety, not the buffet in which the world will lead.
