He paid it ALL
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4–5)
Jesus paid it all. He took our transgressions, and iniquities- He took them upon himself he was chastised, crushed, wounded, and beaten for EVERY SINGLE one.
He paid it ALL.
To you who reads this and you’ve been washed in his blood, buried in baptism and raised to new life… stop trying to mend the wound that’s already been healed. Stop trying to pick up the transgression that’s already been removed, and stop trying to place on yourself the punishment for which he has already been chastised.
He paid it ALL.
To you who reads this and you’ve not yet experienced the washing of his blood or been buried in the waters of baptism.
He paid it ALL.
He knew our need. In fact his purpose… for wrapping himself in flesh and dwelling among us was because the need he saw, the need he knew – was so great.
He paid it ALL.
There is no sin His death did not cover. There is no power His name has not conquered.
He paid it ALL.
This weeks marks one that many call “Holy Week.” A week where we remember Jesus’ walk to the cross – the death of our Savior, and his selfless sacrifice that allows us to live.
He paid it ALL.
Let us not reject the gift that has so beautifully, so freely, so selflessly, so graciously been given.
He paid it ALL.
Let us spend time this week at the foot of the cross as we work each day to remember, He paid it ALL.
-Choose Him.
