She Chooses…
Have you ever had an idea, and started toward something and as you worked your way found that your idea gains clarity and your path shifts?
I’ve been thinking and praying a lot about Choose Him over the past few months.
I love Choose Him. It’s simplistic and reaches everyone, but as time has gone on, and I’ve asked the Lord for direction I feel led to zero in a bit more and focus on the “She’s” that are doing the choosing.
We live in a Mary and Martha world. We’re busy – so busy that it is easy to lose sight of what matters most.
If you aren’t familiar with Mary and Martha, I encourage you to read Luke 10:38-42 and get familiar with these two women and what Jesus had to say to Martha (and a lot of us today).
I love Martha – I can identify with her so much. She lived thousands of years ago, yet her struggle is completely relevant now.
Jesus’ response to her after she vented about Mary delivers a message that he’s been speaking across generations. He said, “But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 KJV
Martha chose to be busy with what she thought mattered, but Mary chose the good part.
Mary chose the good part – so what is the good part, and why was her choice so important?
That my sweet sisters is exactly what She Chooses is focused to answer.
When we meet together here, we’re going to be intentional, and we’re going to work together as a community of women to push through our busyness, and dig through the lies we’ve unknowingly bought into so that just as Mary did, we too will choose the good part, the part that matters, the part that is so easily skipped over, the part we’ve forgotten is there – the good part, the one that won’t be taken from us.
