I AM did it then. I AM does it now

We walk some sketchy paths – and sometimes as we’re walking them, we begin to think they’re a new concept, never experienced by anyone – ever.
Simple truth – that’s wrong thinking.
The Israelites walked a sketchy path too.
Theirs was a wilderness.
Sometimes ours feels a whole lot like a wilderness too.
There was purpose in the wilderness path of the Israelites.
There is purpose in the wildnerness path we find ourselves on too.
What’s the purpose of theirs?
During the Israelites wilderness they were trained. They were trained in the ways of the Lord, they were trained to follow, and they were trained to overcome their enemy.
What’s the purpose of ours?
Our wilderness does the same. If we are willing, God will use these times to train us. He will train us in His ways, He will teach us what it means to be His follower, and we will learn to overcome.
Miracles happen in the wilderness of life. They happened for the Israelites- they recieved manna from Heaven for food, water from a rock to drink… their clothes and their shoes grew with them!
There were miracles for them… and just the same there are miracles for us, we simply have to trust.
We have to trust the words of Isaiah 48:17
“This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.”
I AM is the one who leads us along the paths we should follow, and I AM is the one who goes before us on that path as an all consuming fire.
I AM is the one who says we are to be quiet, that he will fight for us.
I AM is the One who keeps His promise.
I AM is the One who put together this plan of hope and future for us, and knit us together in our mother’s womb.
I AM is the One who knew us before we were anything….
I AM did it then. I AM does it now.
There is purpose in this path – and the great I AM is working to reveal it.
I encourage you today to choose to walk willingly the path the Lord has you on. Don’t allow uncertainty to overwhelm, rather focus on the greatness of the God who goes ahead and works out the plan He has made.
Make your choice today, Choose Him.
